Ethiopian Embassy celebrate Nations, Nationalities Day in Riyadh
Ethiopians from all walks of life are warmly and colorfully celebrated the 12th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Day in Riyadh on December 28-30 with a theme: "Our Constitutional and Colorful Multi-nationalism for our Renaissance".
Ambassador Amin Abdulkadir, Ethiopian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia opening the three-day celebration noted the commemoration of the Day aims at strengthening the democratic unity of all Ethiopians to promote the building of one political and economic community in the country. The Ambassador underlined that the celebration of the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Day testifies the importance of staying committed to the integrity and preservation of national democratization and developmental efforts as well as realization of an Ethiopian Renaissance.
The Day was graced by Saudi Islamic scholar, TV host and social worker Dr. Mohsin Shaikh Al-Hassan; representatives of Ethiopian Diaspora community; students of the Ethiopian International School-Riyadh; and staff of the Ethiopian Embassy in Riyadh.
The Day also brought together all Ethiopian developmental associations, friends of Ethiopia, Saudi businesspersons, and representatives of Saudi Universities.
The Sudanese Cultural Troupe adding extra color to the celebration of the Day presented its musical and cultural performance.
