Ethiopia and Egypt reaffirm commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation
Foreign Minister Dr.Werkneh Gebeyehu met with his Egyptian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry on 21 September 2017 in York at the margins of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two sides discussed on a range of issues including; peace and security in the region and reaffirmed their readiness to work together and further strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Both Ministers underlined the need to further bolster the people to people interaction between Ethiopia and Egypt to enhance understanding and friendship.
Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry restates that Egypt abides by the no-harm, benefit-all and win-win ideals-- governing principles of cooperation between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Werkneh on his part expressed the need to revitalize the growing partnership in trade and investment between the two countries.
