State Minister Hirut meets a German delegation
State Minister for Politcal Affairs Hirut Zemene held talks on Wednesday (April 19) with a German delegation headed by Mr. Gunter Nooke, German Chancellor's Personal Representative for Africa in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and BMZ's Commissioner for Africa. Both sides exchanged views on regional and global issues of common concern.
The State Minister who gave a detailed briefing on Ethiopia's current affairs solidifying the foundation for political reforms and widened political space signaled the positive development prospects in all spheres of the national life for new breakthroughs combined with new achievements. The State Minister mentioning the refined tradition of the historic friendship of the two countries underscored that Ethiopia always regards Germany as a key cooperation partner in various fields for its own development. She cited the constructive role played by Germany in the Horn of Africa in advancing the cause of peace and development.
The two sides noted the relationship has witnessed steady development of high-level exchanges, adding that these frequent visits have set the direction to carry forward Ethio-German ties for new progress placing creativity and innovations at the center of their cooperation partnership.
