PM Hailemariam meets with Swiss President
Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn met with Swiss President Doris Leuthard on the margins of the 47th World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral business and investment ties between Ethiopia and Switzerland and the Ethio-EU cooperation. They have also discussed on ways of dealing with continental and global issues, particularly on Ethiopia's role in the maintenance of peace and security in the Horn of Africa region.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Hailemariam briefed the Swiss President on Ethiopia's leading role in the development of renewable energy and its exemplary determination to the implementation of sustainable development plans.
The Premier further called on Swiss investors to take advantage of Ethiopia's favorable investment climate.
President Leuthard on her part praised Ethiopia for being home to hundreds of thousands of refugees in the Horn of Africa and pledged to provide support for Ethiopia's efforts to sustainably rehabilitate the refugees. She also promised to extend support to Ethiopia's green growth strategy.
