Dr. Aklilu meets Ethiopia’s Honorary Consul to Nagoya, Japan
State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael met the Honorary Consul of Ethiopia to Nagoya City, Japan, Mr. Sadamichi Matsumoto on Wednesday (February 07, 2018) and discussed on issues of elevating the partnership between Ethiopia and Japan.
Mr. Sadamachi, who is also advisor of the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation (JCPF) along with Mr. Nagato Natsume, executive Director of the JCPF and a Professor at Aichi Gakuin University, took note of the future projects of the Honorary Consulate that focuses on medical cooperation, economic and cultural exchanges, airline industry and academic research and collaboration. He particularly mentioned the support so far provided to the Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) as well as scholarship offers to Ethiopian students.
The two sides also took note of the efforts of the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation and the Japanese Medical and Dental Network (JMDN) in providing better treatment to Ethiopian children affected with cleft lip and pallet.
