SPDP Confident to Emerge Victorious Senior executive official of the Somali People's Democratic Party (SPDP), Ambassador Mohammed Drir says, SPDP would emerge victorious in the August 21, 2005 elections. SPDP Chairman, Ambassador Mohamoud Dirir, said owing to its popularity and its mass base the party, " without doubt" will win the elections. Ethiopians in Nairobi, Moscow calls on parties to honor people's votes Ethiopians residing in Nairobi urged political parties to resolve post election disputes in a legal and peaceful manner. The Embassy of Ethiopia in Nairobi said that the Ethiopians demanded for the facilitation of a condition in which public votes should be honored as well as an elected party lead the country. Ethiopians and foreign nationals of Ethiopia origin residing in Moscow and its environs also called on concerned parties to refrain from violence and unrest as peace is key to development and democratization. EU: NEBE Conducting Well Investigation Process under Difficult Circumstances Head of Delegation of the European Commission to Ethiopia says the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has been conducting well the investigation process in difficult circumstances. He also urged political parties in the country to work closely within the context of the constitution.
