What Happened?

May 31,2005- Minister of Infrastructure and Development Dr. Kasu Ilala underlines the need for Africa to have adequate communication network infrastructure at the opening of a four-day international Conference of the Eastern Africa Submarine Cable System (EASSY) on Optical Fiber Communication system.

June    1,2005-The Ethio-Turkish Technical Trade and Investment Committee meeting was held here in Addis. The Meeting assessed the implementation of the agreements between the two sides and impediments for the progress of trade and investment relations existing between the two countries and forward desolation.

June 2,2005-A trade fair dubbed as AGRIFEX Ethiopia 2005 had been held

here in Addis. While opening the trade fair, State Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Getachew Tekle-medhin said that many investors are being attracted to Ethiopia particularly to work in the agriculture sector.

June    17,2005- Day of the African Child marked here in the capital. In an event organized to mark the 14 ^th Anniversary of the Day of the African Child Labour and Social Affairs Deputy Minister Bisrat Gashaw-Tena Said the harms children endure in terms of social, Economic and psychological problem is worse.

June    18,2005- AU member States urged good governance to end refugee influx. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees /UNHCR/ Region liasion Representative,
