September 4 - 5, 2006 - Meeting of the UN - Inter agency to the AU Commission was held here. September 5, 2006 - Pre-Maputo Consultative Meeting was held here on Sexual and Reproductive Health Care /SRH/ policy framework in Africa. September 11 -13, 2006 - The Meeting of the Task Force on Africa's Strategic Partnership with the Emerging powers: China, India and South America (Brazil) took place in Addis. The delegates approved recommendations on the scope and form of the strategic relations. September 13, 2006 - AU Peace and Security Council /AUPSC/ passed decision for the immediate deployment of IGAD Peace Support Mission to Somalia /IGASOM/. September 20 - 23, 2006 - Ethio-Kenya electric Power Interconnection Ministerial and Technical Meeting took place in the metropolis. The two-sides during their meeting sought ways of finalizing a project consultant tender document, preparing financial proposal documents and identifying potential financers. September 21, 2006 - United Nations Conference on Trade and Development /UNCTAD/ report officially launched here. The report said the current aid systems for Africa involves too many agencies and development projects that sometimes compete with each other and often don't match recipient's development goals.
