State Minister Mrs. Hirut Zemene warmly welcomed
H.E Ambassador Emiliya Mokussa of the Republic of Namibia and H.E
Ambassador Zeneni Sinombe of the Republic of Bostwana in her office
highlighting Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations further ahead and work closely on issues of mutual benefit, common interest with #Botswana and #Namibia.
H.E Ambassador Emiliya Mokussa admired the multifaceted economic,
political reforms Ethiopia undertook through such approaches
domestically which have indeed laid down solid and firm foundation for
national consensus unprecedented in the modern history of the Ethiopia.
H.E Ambassador Zeneni Sinombe also commended the economic, political
reform Ethiopia undertook to deepen inclusive democracy, widen the
political space and the Ethio-Eritrea peace deal that ushered wind of
hope in the Horn of Africa region for other countries to draw a lesson
for peace, normalcy and integration.
Botswana and Ethiopia have
longstanding relations dating back to 1990 when Botswana opened its
embassy in Addis Ababa, while the Ethiopian embassy in Pretoria, South
Africa is accredited to cover Botswana.
